Thanksgiving Blessings

We have so many things to be thankful for. First, I am thankful for my salvation. I am thankful for Michael and the fact that he is an amazing husband, father, and pastor. I am thankful that the Lord blessed us with two beautiful, healthy, loving children Alex and Braxton. I am thankful for the family we have, I just love them so much. I am thankful that we have all this love in our family. I think of so many people who have no one to love or no one to love them. It breaks my heart. The song "Count Your Blessings" says it all! "Count your blessings, name them one by one, count your blessings, see what God hath done! Count your blessings, name them one by one, Count your many blessings, see what God hath done!"

Wednesday we went to Edna and Tommy's house for thanksgiving dinner there. We had a lot of food and a lot of laughter. I just love getting together with family and kids in the background laughing and playing. It makes my heart so happy.

Today we went to Aunt Donna's barn and had lunch with my dad's side of the family. It is neat because there are so many little kids running around and getting to play with one another. When I was Alex's age there wasn't near as many kids as what are there now. After leaving Donna's we went to my mom's house. We ate till we couldn't eat anymore!

Phew, exhausted just writing that!! LOL :) But that is what the holiday's are about in my family. We are so blessed to have so many places to go and family to see!

Here are some pictures from our shoot with Hollie Henderson Photography. She did a great job!!

1st Grade

Well, Alex started 1st grade today. It is so hard to believe that I have a 1st grader!! Gosh, that makes me feel old. I remember being in the first grade and thinking my mom is soooo old. Well, she is 20 years older than me and I am 20 years older than Alex. So, I guess I am "that" old! LOL
She did great going to school. She let me take a picture before we left, but when we got to the school, she said "no way MOM!!" She got in the class she wanted with her best friend, Mary. Her teacher seems like she will be a good fit for her. We will see how it went when I pick her up later.
This is before school.

She doesn't know I took this one of her walking into the school :)

Growing up

She feel asleep on the way home from shopping all day and a movie. We seen Smurfs 3D.
Alex is growing up so fast. She is such a sweet heart. She is becoming such a "girly girl". She loves to shop!! Her new thing to do is to watch dance videos on you tube and do those dances over and over. She also likes to do fun stuff with her daddy too. They go to the pond to train the dogs, fish, and ride bikes. She is a "Daddy's Girl" for sure!!

9 Months

Braxton is 9 months!! I can't believe how fast he is growing. He is crawling and getting into everything now. He even yells when you tell him "no". He is in size 3 diapers, eating stage 3 baby foods. He likes to eat too. If you are eating, then he thinks he needs to be eating too!! He is sleeping in his crib all night. He may wake up because he can't find the paci, but goes back to sleep. He is teething, still no teeth yet. He loves Lucy, the cat, they play together a lot. He really wants to pull her tail, but she lets him know that isn't going to work!! LOL :) At the 9 month WCC, he weighed 19 pounds even and was 29 inches long. He is around the 15th % for weight and 75-80% for length.

Summer Days

I love these pictures of Alex. She could eat her weight in watermelon!!!

Poor Braxton. Tommy got him a life jacket and B didn't know what to think about it! We will have to give it another try, but it wasn't going to work on this day!! LOL
